The Calgary Catholic School District offers an International Spanish Academy program. Students enrolled will receive the foundation to become functionally bilingual by Grade 12. Our program extends to grade 7 – 8 – 9.
The Alberta Education Program of Studies is taught in all courses. Students divide their time, studying 35 per cent in Spanish and the remainder in English. Subjects taught in Spanish are Spanish Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Health.
The Spanish program allows students to gain insight into the Spanish language and the culture of Spanish-speaking countries around the world.
Students receive recognition in Grades 6, 9 and 12 from the government of Spain.
