Volleyball Update

*Playoffs being October 21st - 25t*

On Oct. 10th and 15th our Senior volleyball teams invited other junior highs to our annual Bearcat tournament. We had very rewarding evenings. The boys competed on the 10th and won the silver medal. Mrs. Bett and Ms. Jeramaz were and continue to be so proud of the boys for their growth since the beginning of the season. The girls placed 4th in their tournament but the coaches, Mr. Kim and Ms. Chudyk were quick to applaud the hard work displayed by the girls. For both teams, their hard work and determination were obvious at this tournament and a perfect lead up to the playoffs which will begin Oct. 21st. We would like to thank the University of Calgary for its generous donation of “swag” that was handed out to the MVPs of each match. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped those evenings and to the parents who provided the food for the tournament. Thank you to everyone who has supported your child during our volleyball season.

GO BEARCATS!

Athlete’s Prayer

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit
God, let me play well but fairly.
Help me to learn something that matters once the game is over.
Let competition make me strong but never hostile.
Always let me help my opponent up.
Never catch me rejoicing in the adversity of others.
If I know victory, allow me to be happy; if I am denied, keep me from envy.
Remind me that sports are just games.
If through athletics I set an example, let it be a good one.
In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
