We believe the interscholastic athletic program is an important part of the school program. We believe that it is educationally sound and that it enhances the physical, mental, emotional and social development of student athletes.

We believe that athletic programs are a part of the total educational experience of a student. We believe that student participation in the interscholastic program is an opportunity for students to highlight their skills and talents. Students should be striving to achieve their greatest potential realizing that involvement within athletics is a privilege. We believe providing opportunities and participation in sports that are appropriate to their level should be included in the experience of all students.

We believe that participation in sports can contribute to the development of self-confidence and to the establishment of desirable interpersonal relationships.

We believe that adults who work with students in interscholastic activities must present a positive role model for them to emulate.

We believe that students who represent a school in interscholastic activities must be a creditable school citizen. He/She must be a student that would work both in the classroom as well as on the playing field and follow the schools guidelines and expectations for behaviour within a school day.
