As a whole, the season was an unforgettable journey that involved an excellent group of guys, a great coaching staff, and supporting fans/alumni that allowed us to pursue and achieve the successes that we experienced.

Initially, the team was compiled of a group of individuals, however, as the season grew we became brothers and worked hard both on and off the field with a clear motive—to win a championship. As the coaches continuously preached, we treated every practice and game as if it were the final. This attitude and preparation was one of the most important factors that set us apart from our opponents and resulted in us coming on top in both the regular season standings and playoffs. Our relentless commitment and determination day in and day out was unmatched. Through the ups and downs, we were persistent and unified as we treated all obstacles as learning opportunities and as a chance to prove ourselves.

When it came to the finals we put our nerves aside and remained focused on the ultimate goal and became city champions despite the toughness of the game. Not only was this victory substantial for us on the field, it was also (nearly more) important to the alumni of Saint Francis and provided the whole school community with a sense of pride and accomplishment. The feeling of being the source to this deeper impact is indescribable.

We contributed to a legacy that is like no other and next year myself and the guys can’t wait to add to the dynasty once more. Again, we couldn’t have done it without our coaches—Mr. Meadows, Mr. Oliverio, Mr. Ferrero, and supporters. I’m forever thankful for being the captain of this great team. A special thanks to Mr. Meadows who is departing the school this year, your impact will live on forever and we wish you all the best in the future. Our championship quest next year will be in your name!
