Alberta health services will be offering an information evening for parents in regards to the current fentanyl crisis. Please see the information below for details:

We are pleased to announce that AARC is hosting its third Community Education Workshop on Fentanyl Awareness on November 17, 2016 (7:00pm – 9:00pm). Fentanyl abuse is an alarming issue. With 153 deaths in Alberta as of June 2016, we are now estimating one death per day by the end of the year.

Our guest speaker and educator will be Dr. Mark Yarema, Medical Director of the Poison and Drug Information Services for Alberta Health Services. We will also hear the first-hand account of AARC graduate, Tessa J., whose fentanyl addiction was successfully treated.
