The following courses are currently offered in Communication Technology 10/20/30:
Students will learn to employ fundamental design elements and principles for greater visual control in various media. Students will utilize programs such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop software to create their projects.
Students explore animation techniques. Students will utilize programs such as Adobe Flash software to create their projects.
Students will develop basic audio/video production skills, including planning, recording, and editing, through the production of simple video and audio projects using basic using the Apple iLife software applications. Students will use a HD camera, iMovie and Garageband to produce their video projects.
Students will learn about design and layout challenges one is faced with in web design. At the end of this course students will have an introductory knowledge of programs such as Adobe Dreamweaver software and Google Sites.
Students refine presentation skills and develop using programs such as Keynote, Google Slides, Prezi or PowToon.
Students develop an essential foundation in camera use with a focus on basic composition, setup and an examination of exposure. Students operate a Nikon DSLR camera to take photographs and produce final display proofs.
