Food Studies 10/20/30

This optional CTS course is an enjoyable and beneficial class that provides an opportunity to gain valuable and practical skills while foraging friendships. You will gain useful and practical knowledge, skills and techniques that will last you a lifetime, learn time management skills that pertain to cooking and experience a variety of cooking techniques. If you are artistic and creative this can be another outlet for you, if you like to learn about healthy food and how to easily prepare it, and to expand your palate, this is the class for you.

Food Studies 10:

We have the choice to select from a number of modules, some that we have covered in the past have been: Food Basics FOD1010, Vegetables and Fruits FOD2180 and Milk Products and Eggs FOD2060.

For Food Studies 20:

A number of modules are available, some that have previously been taught are Basic Meat Cookery FOD2100, Cakes and Pastries FOD2040 and Soups and Sauces FOD2070.

Food Studies 30:

Multiple units are available to select from, some that are available are: Advanced Yeast Products FOD3040, Food Presentation FOD3060 and Regional Cuisine FOD3160.
