Our Choral Music Program offers comprehensive studies in Choral Music, from classical to contemporary genres. This is a performance-based program with a variety of performance ensembles, including a Concert Choir, Women’s Vocal Ensemble and Mixed Vocal Chamber Ensemble. Students have the opportunity to work with the finest local clinicians and guest conductors during the school year. Performances are held in the best concert venues, including the Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall at the Rozsa Centre, Knox United Church and other venues around Calgary. Masses, festivals, camps, concerts and trips are annual components of the program. Our Music parent society, St. Mary’s Music Foundation, provides organizational and financial support to our Music program. Graduates of the St. Mary’s Choral Music Program can be found in many of the leading university and college programs across Canada, performing professionally in a myriad of settings, teaching music privately and in school music programs, performing in amateur community ensembles, and in a variety of other music related careers and activities. Recent travel opportunities for St. Mary’s Choral Music students have included Nova Scotia, England, New York City, Seattle, WA and Whistler, BC.
