AWARDS CRITERIA:
Honour Roll with Distinction:
This award recognizes
students receiving an Average of 90% or better with no marks below 80% in any
subject & all 4s in Work Habits in all subjects.
Students will be
recognized with a certificate for this award described
above to celebrate their successes with their family.
Honour Roll:
This award recognizes
students receiving an Average of 80% or better with no marks below 70% in any
subject & 3 or 4 in Work Habits in all subjects.
Students will be
recognized with a certificate for this award described
above to celebrate their successes with their family.
Ultimate Achiever:
This award recognizes
students who demonstrate ultimate effort based on the Junior High Work Habits rubric, receiving 4s in all core subjects (allow one 3 at teacher's discretion) and no 2s or 1s in all other subject areas.
Students will be
recognized with a certificate for this award described
above to celebrate their successes with their family.
Ivan J. McManus Award:
The Alberta Teacher’s
Association will reward the top academic Grade 9 student with a $100
Scholarship. This recipient will be recognized at the end of the school year.

2017-2018
Ultimate Achiever:
This award recognizes
student who demonstrate ultimate effort by achieving 4s in all work habits
areas (or one 3 at teacher’s discretion).
St. Matthew K-9 Awards/Recognition 2017-2018
Virtue of the Month
Each month, staff and
students will be choosing a Catholic Virtue to focus on, one that will help us
develop the character of Jesus. Teacher's will nominate one or two students
from their class who have exhibited this virtue in school.
Students will be recognized in their classroom, in the presence of their peers.
Sacramental Recognition
Students in K-9 will
be celebrated for receiving a sacrament during the school year. School Council
will recognize these students with a sacramental pin and we look forward to
celebrating achievement and exceptional effort with students and families
throughout the school year!
