Welcome Message

Welcome to St. Thomas More Elementary School! Our school is special in the following ways:

1. We are a Catholic School. This means we act and try to be like Jesus in all that we do. The virtue of respect is the fundamental building block of our school community. We instill a respect of learning, a respect of oneself and a respect of others.

2. We are a Catholic Community of Caring school. Through a wide variety of activities and service learning projects, we teach our students five core values: respect, responsibility, caring, family and trust.

3. We believe all students can experience success and can excel in learning. We aim to foster a desire in our students to be life-long learners and responsible citizens through our work at school and in partnership with our students' families.

The purpose of this handbook is to answer many of the questions that you may have about our Catholic Elementary School. We look forward to working with you as we begin the school year at St. Thomas More.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at (403) 500-2081 if you have any concerns. We value your input and we look forward to our partnership in the education of your children.

The Catholic community of St. Thomas More School believes that by demonstrating our faith in God and respect for each other, we can create a safe, caring and collaborative environment that promotes life-long learning and celebrates the uniqueness of all individuals.

Sincerely,

John Griffith, Principal
