The Thunder wrestling program continues to shine, at the Junior High and the High school levels. The 2015/16 Wrestling season, proved to be very successful for our St. Timothy wrestlers. Twenty four junior high wrestlers attended the City championships, with 9 winning their weight classes. Connor McNeice and Charles Cook took home high school gold medals at the City Championships, with Connor winning the provincial gold medal, as well as the Canadian Juvenile Championships. Connor will be attending the Pan Am Games and the World Championships over the summer. Connor, is a three time Canadian Champion and placed 4 th at the World Cadet Wrestling Championships last summer. Charles Cook won the Provincial silver medal, and placed 4 th at the Canadian Championships. Charles has accepted a scholarship at the University of Calgary. Connor Swedlo and Brendan Loeppky both qualified for the Provincial Championships and helped the team win the 1A/2A Provincial Wrestling Championship banner. Our wrestling team has won the Provincial banner three years in a row.

During the last three years, three of our graduating wrestlers have received scholarships from the University of Calgary. Ex Thunder wrestler Callum McNeice, recently was selected as the outstanding freshman athlete with the University of Calgary.

The Thunder Wrestling program, will be gunning for another banner next year, with some returning veterans and some talented grade nines stepping on to the mat next season.
